Small yet perfectly formed…Comment by LUCY HUMPHRIES, Bathroom Category Director, The PJH GroupPublished: 08 June, 2010Space-saving bathroom solutions are not what they used to be. Triggered off many years ago by the housebuilder, providing ensuites and cloakrooms as standard in most homes, this trend for multiple bathrooms then prompted a surge in home improvements – with an extra bathroom being relatively inexpensive to create. Often found in the smallest rooms, it’s not surprising that the demand for compact, yet perfectly formed bathroom fittings was established. As innovation and technology has swiftly progressed, compact bathrooms have become more design-led, stylish and practical.
A fitting solution from MoodsPublished: 08 June, 2010As the demand for space-saving bathroom products has risen, as has the range of compact bathroom innovations from the experts at Moods, PJH Group’s own bathroom collection. Offering a comprehensive selection of space-saving solutions, new for this year is the Linear 200mm Deep Space-Saving Fitted Furniture, a range cleverly designed to accommodate the smallest of rooms without compromising on storage, style and finish.
Manhattan cornering the market with the Quad SpherePublished: 08 June, 2010Home improvement and adding value to a property do not always go hand in hand; however, research has shown that by installing a second bathroom or ensuite can add up to 15% on the value of a home.
The Quad Sphere from Manhattan’s M3 range of enclosures is the perfect solution for additional bathroom application where space is at a premium, designed to fit into the tightest of corners and with an ingenious ergonomic shape that can accommodate even the most awkwardly positioned window.
Triton mini mixers for a sleeker lookPublished: 08 June, 2010Triton has launched two ‘mini’ concentric and four ‘mini’ sequential mixers. All of the fixings needed to make pipework connections and - for the concentric range only - to alter the inlet distance, are included with the shower. The mini mixers are appropriate for new builds with limited timber and plasterboard wall cavity depth.
Following the same stylish concentric design and separate flow and temperature controls as the standard Thames products, the mini valves collection works for projects where space is limited or simply a sleeker look is required.

Blum approaches storage the intelligent wayPublished: 08 June, 2010Next time you’re in your kitchen take some time to think about how it’s organised. Open the doors and drawers and look inside carefully. If you’ve got fixed shelves in your base units you’ll probably have to get down on your hands and knees to see what’s stored at the back of the base of the cabinet – same goes for corner units. What’s the bet there are long forgotten items in there just taking up valuable space. Have a look at the way in which the height of the cabinet is being used – how much empty space is there between the top of the tallest item and the bottom of the shelf or work surface above? More likely than not you could fit a useful pull-out in there. Use the space!
