BKU’s selection of what caught the eye in 2007
Sitting at the National Home Improvement Annual Awards lunch in November I was struck by how innovative kitchen and bathroom manufacturers have become in the last few years – not just in terms of eco friendly appliances but in space saving products, special needs and of course the introduction of colour into these two key rooms in the home.

but with 25 million households in the UK still wasting large amounts of energy, the need for innovation in terms of design and usage is endless.In a marketplace which has seen average growth in the kitchens sector of 3% during 2007 and margins averaging 3.9%, but with a somewhat uncertain economic future ahead of us, manufacturers and distributors are aware that they need to work with buyers to provide a range of quality products to suit all budgets. Our review highlights just some of these products – all of which have managed to combine innovation with design.
