The success of Harrogate-based Specialist Tiling Products’ (STP) two best sellers, Mira X-Plan and Stonefix, has helped seal a record year for the company and not only has 2007 seen STP take on extra staff to cope with demand, but it has also finalised plans to move to larger, purpose-built premises early next year.
The company, which made a massive impact at this year’s Tile And Stone Show, has seen its sales soar by 45 per cent compared to 2006. STP director Jason Ellis said: “We have had an incredible 12 months, and this is down to the fact that both Mira X-Plan and Stonefix have flown off the shelves.
“July was a record month, then it was surpassed by August. We are now looking ahead to the next 12 months, which will see us moving to bigger and better premises and launching a number of new products for professional tilers.
STP director Andy Gough said: “STP has not only grown in terms of people, it has grown in terms of market share it has within the tiling industry. I also know our reputation has grown too.”
The new products being launched are Stonefix sealers, Stonefix grout and more Stonefix adhesives.
