Cottam and Preedy have introduced a starter pack for their patented CP961® Multi isolation valve. The package is designed for trade counter use and includes both 15mm and 22mm sizes, together with flow regulator cartridges for flow volumes from 6 to 15 litres/minute.
The CP961® Multi valve is proving especially popular for their water saving function, a rapidly growing requirement as government looks to reduce domestic water usage for environmental reasons.
Much more than a simple isolator, it incorporates a cartridge which dynamically controls water pressure to constantly provide the required flow rate to the level actually required by the application, rather than water being wasted due to the fluctuating pressures found in many systems.
As well as actually saving water, regulating flow to appropriate levels also helps towards balancing the water supply throughout the house and avoiding water starvation, by reducing the call off from other draw offs.
The Code for Sustainable Homes already shows the way water efficiency is likely to be enforced in the future. Becoming familiar with the ways to achieve water efficiency now can only be good for the whole industry. Water management is on its way, so becoming familiar with products which can help to save water is a must.
