Polypipe Sanitary Systems now offer a complete range of four toilet seats under the well known Celmac brand name, fitted with ‘smooth-close’ hinges. The gel filled damper incorporated into the newly designed hinges allows the seats to close slowly and virtually silently, making the sound of a seat slamming a thing of the past and preventing the possibilities of little fingers being trapped by the seat. In case the seat should be forced shut regardless of the mechanism, the hinge is equipped with a by-pass system to avoid damage or breakage.
The Celmac ‘smooth-close’ seats provide a choice in weight, design and material. The Tango, available in white, at the lighter end of the market weighing a nominal 1.7 kilos, is made in polypropylene and has a pleasantly styled wrap-over domed cover with colour matched hinges. The two middleweight seats manufactured in thermoset material are the Maestro, available in white with a distinctive European D shaped design and colour matched hinges, and the Concerto available in white in a traditional oval shape with domed lid and hinges in chrome plated brass. The heavyweight, weighing in at a nominal 3.5 kilos, is the Monarch, a robust seat and cover in polyester material with traditional styling and again fitted with sturdy chrome plated brass hinges. These new seats that close gently and with nothing more than a sigh to be heard, add a fresh dimension to the varied ranges available from Polypipe under the Celmac banner.
