Whilst traditionally the UK consumer has favoured the combi fridge freezer, research has shown that more and more people are looking to the American side-by-side style that not only looks great in the kitchen but also provides and extensive amount of storage. The combination of sleek design with low noise levels means these appliances, although large, do not dominate people’s living spaces.
The technical specifications in the BEKO AP390, such as the Smart Cooling System, Fresh Freezing System and Active Ionizer System (which provides longer storage periods for foods) and Active Odour Filter (that eliminates bacteria and undesired odours) make this offering an exciting proposition for retailers. Over 157,000 side-by-side fridge freezers were sold in the UK last year.
The AP390 is BEKO’s top of the range model and comes in silver and stainless steel. It boasts an array of features including an automatic ice maker and a plumbed-in water dispenser meaning filtered water, ice cubes and crushed ice are always on tap. The advanced digital display is easy to use and gives consumers greater control over the appliance. The freezer contains a fresh freeze compartment that ensures food is rapidly frozen protecting the nutritional values and taste. To improve visibility in the freezer section the AP930 has also been fitted with an internal light.
