Kitchen extraction specialists Westin Design have recently launched a second generation ceiling built-in unit. In response to customer demand, Westin Design has designed and developed the new Stratus Compact Ceiling Built in Unit with smaller internal workings, which means it will fit between the joists regardless of their direction , without compromising on performance levels.
Developed from Westin Design’s hugely popular custom counterpart hood, this new product’s design allows an internal, EC energy efficient fan with a height of 195mm which is smaller than other standard internal heights, a first in kitchen extraction. This gives a compact unit which will still maintain the highest levels of extraction performance, whilst offering the design benefits of a discreet, ceiling built in unit.
Other features on the new Stratus Compact have been developed by Westin Design in response to customer demand. Reduced noise comes due to the acoustically lined door panel, whilst LED lights rather than halogen remove the need to periodically change bulbs. The chamfered design and low profile ceiling intrusion virtually eliminate the need to trim joists, and magnetic latches, upgraded from hinged versions provide easier maintenance.
