London, 1 August 2007 – Sharp has launched the R879, its latest combination microwave with all the versatility of a conventional oven. The series offers the speed and convenience of a 900W microwave combined with the multifunctional features of a double grill and convection oven (40-250oC).
The free-standing R879W (white finish) and R879SL (silver finish) models are touch-screen controlled, featuring a clean, contemporary design and stylish blue timer and clock display.
A double quartz grill (upper 1200W - lower 650W) is ideal for crisp pizza cooking and six express cook menus and three express defrost functions also make the models ideal for defrosting joints of meat and cooking roasts. Both models feature a generous 26 litre capacity and stainless steel interior cavity for easy cleaning.
