H&R Johnson go back to nature
Published:  01 September, 2007

H&R Johnson, the UK’s largest manufacturer of ceramic tiles, has launched a new range of marble and stone effect matching floor and wall tiles. The Marble & Stone Collection consists of realistic marble and stone interpretation wall and floor tiles that will provide an elegant, neutral backdrop to any domestic or commercial setting.

The matching wall and floor collection has been launched in line with the growing trend of using natural colours and finishes in these environments - giving a total tiled effect. Available in larger format field tiles; this collection is enhanced further with a selection of harmonising decorative and mosaic border tiles.

The range consists of five unique attractive new wall tiles in a 400mm x 300mm x 10mm format, as well as five new coordinating floor tiles in 300mm x 300mm x 10mm. One design, Sahara Light is available in three formats; as plain, with integral border or with an all over print, which gives the effect of natural stone but with the durability and maintenance benefits of a ceramic tile brings.

The all-over lustre effect print is the first time this effect has been added to H&R Johnson’s portfolio. The technique sees the progression from design method zoning with colour, to zoning with a pattern. ‘Zoning’ describes the separation of living, working and relaxing zones in a house or room through the use of different materials, colours or design styles and is still a popular choice in interior design. It uses blocks of colour, texture or pattern on a wall or panel in an area to make a feature in a room.
