Illuminating ideas from PWS
Published:  01 August, 2007

PWS have introduced some illuminating ideas to their lighting range which has been updated to include the latest innovations in shelf lighting. Leading the line-up is the pack carcase base light which forms the base of a wall unit carcase and then cleverly lights up the entire cupboard space as well as providing light below the wall units.

This is both a practical and appealing lighting solution which has a fashionable aluminium casing. The unit has Osram high performance and long-life triphosphor fluorescent tubes. Available to suit 500mm and 600mm units the carcase base light is an interesting lighting concept that is proving a winning choice with designers. For stand-alone shelf lights PWS’ Anthea and Sushi ranges have sleek, modern looks in stainless steel and dark wenge finishes.

The PWS lighting collection is regularly reviewed and enhanced to ensure the latest trends and technology are covered. The range includes LEDs, halogen lights, triphosphor lighting and the decorative shelf lights, ensuring both task and mood lighting requirements are answered. This is a particularly important consideration in today’s kitchens which are increasingly used as the main living room in the home.

Different zones in the kitchen require varying levels of light to strike the right balance between functional lighting for food preparation and creating the relaxing ambience in the living area.
