IDS has unveiled a smart update to its vehicle livery that underpins the company’s dynamism with its use of bold colours in conjunction with its iconic tree symbol. The design clearly communicates its flooring, worktops, panel, laminates and solid surfacing products, as well as contact details with the new IDS Webstore emblazoned across the back doors of its 100-strong fleet.
A new specification for the company’s 18 tonne curtainsiders reduces the height of the lorry bed from 1400mm to 1080mm. This makes it easier for drivers to off-load products, improving overall health and safety while reducing the risk of product damage.
Extending the length of the lorry bed by 600m allows two worktops to be transported end to end for the first time - improving customer service and reducing fuel consumption. By the end of the year, there will be 18 of these new vehicles on the road and a further 30 by 2011.
