Design and aesthetic appeal foremost in the modern consumers requirements

The heating market has come on leaps and bounds over the past few years, making white rectangular radiators a thing of the past, especially at the higher end of the market. The aesthetic design has become as, if not more important than performance and with so many manufacturers jumping on the bandwagon and investing time and financial resources into product design and innovation, it seems this trend is here for the long haul.

The desire for contemporary design has continued to flourish and there are no signs of it slowing down. This penchant has led to the birth of some truly inspirational models that would add depth and character to any modern décor scheme.

Designers are experimenting liberally with colour, shape, size and finishes to create pieces that resemble ‘works of art’. Whereas the sole purpose of a radiator ten years ago was to heat its surroundings effectively, the market has evolved rapidly to the point where many new models entering the market tell a story.

Given the attention to detail and eye-grabbing aesthetics of new radiators and towel rails, it’s easier than ever for consumers to create ‘wow’ factor focal points around the home, all the while ensuring a warm and inviting environment.

This isn’t to say traditional styles have taken a back seat; they’re still as popular as ever, especially with the crucial ‘grey market’. Towel horses are making a massive comeback and while style is still important, they cleverly double up as storage for towels, keeping them warm, dry and fluffy all year round.
