Huddersfield based company Westin are the only UK Company to manufacture and supply custom-built domestic kitchen extractors, providing a bespoke service without the designer price tag.
Recently, the Westin produced an entirely mirrored hood, for customers of the renowned kitchen design company, Mowlem and Co.
John Reed, MD of Westin, explains: “The customer had an idea of what they wanted to achieve, but initial enquiries led them to believe that cost would be prohibitive. We took them through the same steps as we do with all our customers, listening, establishing their needs and wishes and the technical constraints then marrying the two together. This is ‘custom-built’ – it’s the art of re-creating the client’s exact design and at Westin that is all part of the service.”
The end result is a visually stunning design, retaining all the power and efficiency that is synonymous with Westin and yet another satisfied customer.
The mirrored hood incorporates fine details such as mitred corners and a recessed base plate give a good collection area and enhanced performance in a design that blends seamlessly into its surroundings.
As with all Westin’s bespoke hoods, it can be produced as an island or wall mounted hood in standard or bespoke sizes. Various fan combinations are available, with airflows up to and beyond 3000m3hr depending on fan and duct size. LED lights are an option and the hoods can be supplied with either coloured glass or mirrors.
