A new training course in renewables for specifiers, housebuilders, teachers, architects and installers has been introduced at the AGA Training Centre at Telford. Delivering an overview of current renewable systems including solar, heat pumps, biomass and wind power, the course is aimed at those who want to increase their knowledge in this ever-expanding industry.
On completing the course attendees will be able to identify which renewable energy options might be appropriate in different circumstances, explain which end uses can be met by each technology, (for example: space heating, power and lighting) as well as discuss the various reasons for using renewable energy. They will also be able to understand how systems work and their components, know where to access grants and the levels available for each technology as well as calculating typical costs.
The AGA Training Centre has seen an upsurge in course registrations by installers wanting training in oil-fired heating and appliances.
