Aquastone, specialists in tiling installations within both the commercial and domestic sectors, have recently completed a 2000m2 tiling project in Tunstall. The project, part of the prestigious Alexandra Park development, was a new DW Sports Fitness Club which is a two storey complex consisting of a fully equipped gym and a sports retail store.

When Aquastone secured the contract they were quick to contact Ultra Tile with their material requirements. Aquastone have used Ultra Tile materials for many years on many projects, and have complete confidence in their individual capabilities. Prior to fixing any tiles, Aquastone prepared the sub-floor in several areas of the DW Sports Fitness Club using Level IT one HDB or Level IT two - levelling compounds from Ultra Tile’s sister brand, Ultra Floor. Ultra Tile Prime IT FP was also used to prime certain porous substrates, including plastered walls, prior to the application of the adhesive.

Aquastone then fixed several types of tile throughout the building including ceramic, glass mosaics and porcelain mosaics. Ultra Tile ProGrip HG, ProRapid RS and ProFlex SP adhesives were all used on this project and their individual qualities were matched to the application in question. All tiling installations were finished with Ultra Tile FlexJoint Grout in white or grey.
