Shades has introduced a water saving toilet cistern, featuring a dual flush system which provides flushing volumes as low as 2.6 litres per flush, helping to significantly reduce water usage by up to 52 per cent per year, without compromising on performance.
Designed to fit neatly inside Shades’ range of WC units, the cistern has front access for simple installation and ease of maintenance. The new dual flush system will also benefit developers, as it is fully compliant with the proposed changes to the Part G building regulations, which sets a new water efficiency standard for new builds of 125 litres of water per head per day compared to the current average of 150 litres.
Shades brand manager Julie Holliday commented: “By saving water each and every time the toilet is flushed, consumers can also make noticeable savings on their water bills – a point well worth our retailers making to their customers.”
