WaterShield TM is a flexible waterproofing (tanking) membrane designed for use beneath ceramic, porcelain, natural stone tiles and mosaics in wet rooms and showers. In addition, the kit is cost-effective and easy to use, therefore an ULTRA-effective waterproofing method.
Ultra Tile offer an extensive range of specially formulated paste and powder tile adhesives, coloured grouts, sealants and primers for today’s innovative fixing industry; WaterShield TM is the newest addition to the Ultra Tile range.
This easy to use kit is supplied complete in one tub and consists of brush-applied liquid, a bond primer, waterproof polyester tape and polyester matting. One 5.5kg kit will cover 5m2 of internal walls and floors, protecting underlying layers from the ingress of water. The polyester tape reinforces the membrane in areas of additional stress such as junctions between floors and walls, and the matting should be used on heavily trafficked areas, timber floors or suspended floors to strengthen.
WaterShield TM can be applied to most common substrate types including moisture sensitive backgrounds such as plaster, plasterboard, timber and tile backing boards. The product should be fully cured, allowing for tiling to begin 24 hours after application at 20°C.
