Maybe it’s the fact that ‘Cerrig’ is Welsh for stone or the fact that Ian Williams, Managing Director, is the 6th generation of his family to be working in the stone mining and fabrication industry, that you feel particularly confident in Cerrig’s credentials to undertake your work surface, splash backs or flooring project?
For whatever reason you selected Cerrig out of the many stone suppliers on the market, you will be very glad that you did. Not only do Cerrig offer what must be the widest selection of natural and engineered stones available, but also, in these environmentally aware times, you will have peace of mind in the knowledge that you have selected a company with quite possibly the lowest carbon footprint within their industry.
However, as nice as this is for the environment, the level of technology that allows this, combined with vast amounts of experience, afforded by Cerrigs comprehensive team, makes for a second to none job. In fact, their reputation within the KBB industry and with architects and developers is such that they work on projects right across the UK and Europe. For example, they have worked on stone projects for Moscow Airport, whilst working with such revered kitchen and bathroom brands as Edwin Loxley!
So, if reputation, a vast selection of stone to choose from and environmental issues were not enough reasons for you to choose Cerrig then maybe this is. Their highly sophisticated CNC system means that templating is incredibly accurate and longer runs of stone are possible with far fewer than normal joins. Stone is cut using water jet cutting technology with water continually recycled around the factory. The fine, powerful jets of water used allows for pin point accuracy; so much so that it’s possible to inlay, in a contrasting coloured stone, bespoke patterns, family names or crests to give you your very own, unique floor.
The only decision now is which type of material to choose from. Ian Williams comments “Welsh slate is proving very popular and of course, unlike the many other slates available, ours is mined locally rather than being shipped in from abroad. Our level of fabrication offers our customers total flexibility since we can produce any size of slab, whether it be slate, marble, granite or lime stone to any finish. This means we can cater for those who want a more rustic random approach to their flooring or more engineered, ultra smooth / polished and uniform feel to achieve a more contemporary look to their interior.
The fact that we can produce bespoke, custom patterns makes us the choice for discerning home owners who are looking for something a little different.”
