At this year’s ISH, Dornbracht launched the Supernova, a fixture of high sculptural quality. “With Supernova, we are continuing the series of design innovations of the past two decades”, said CEO Andreas Dornbracht. “Supernova represents a cultivated, progressive, unique design. The fixture plays with the light and reflects the surroundings, including their objects and colours, in a new way.”
In keeping with the sculptural character of the fixture, the architecture of the Supernova Lead-bathroom is not a classical space but an accessible “sculpture”, separated from the surrounding space by surfaces and materials. Without a space definition, the bathroom becomes lifestyle furniture that can be freely placed in the room. With its reflective surfaces and precise slants, the architecture reflects the progressive design of the fixture.
In addition to the lead bathroom, three premium bathrooms and a total of five premium applications were also designed. With the premium bathrooms, the reference to lifestyle and fashion is just as strongly characterised as with the lead bathrooms, while the premium applications reinterpret the Supernova in a new and different way, showing how changeable the series is. In the process, they incorporate current architectural and furnishing trends.
In interior design and other lifestyle areas, gold as a colour and precious material is experiencing a renaissance. For Supernova, a new gleaming surface has been developed in light gold, called Champagne - a surface which is both progressive and glamorous. The galvanic surface of several layers is manufactured at Dornbracht and the third galvanic layer is made of 22-carat gold.
The product range comprises around 60 products – which in addition to single-lever taps and three-hole taps also includes two waterfall taps: for wall mounting and also for the first time at Dornbracht, free-standing. The range is complemented by comprehensive accessories.
Supernova is available for all areas of application (washbasin, bathtub, shower, and bidet) – with the option of lever handles or handles in cube form.
The product is designed by Sieger Design. The architecture for the lead bath by Mike Meiré. All products are available in chrome, platinum and champagne surfaces.
