The meetings were attended by both corporate and retail members and were generally very well received; providing an opportunity for members to share the Association’s short and long term future plans and to discuss any additional topical issues.

Graham Ball, CEO of the KBSA comments: “The regional meetings were

a great opportunity to communicate with existing members and to update them on our plans. A number of quality leads were also gained from the events, which are now being followed up by our agents and staff, including potential new corporate members.

“At the Manchester event Gerald Kelly of Construction Skills gave an update on training grants along with the Construction Skills Agenda which members found very informative. BCG xl also announced that they will be introducing a special KBSA members’ promotion within their newly launched Air Miles scheme.”

The regional meetings were held in at the Twickenham Stadium on 15 October, in Glasgow on 20th October and Manchester on 23rd October.

Showroom & Supplier Survey

The KBSA has launched its first ever showroom and supplier survey which will gather valuable information from retail members. The results of the survey will help the KBSA understand retailers business more and facilitate better communication and cooperation with corporate members. The survey also includes a new KBSA award as retailers will have the opportunity to nominate a ‘Supplier of the Year 2009’.
