Roca is delighted to announce that the ground-breaking W+W was a Gold Winner at this year’s Product Innovation Awards – the new product category for the Design Awards 2009.
The Design Awards is an ongoing scheme to promote excellence in design in the home, organised by the publishers of Designer magazine and supported by over 30 leading UK suppliers. The Product Innovation Awards, which are at the heart of the scheme, celebrate and reward products that demonstrate real innovation, and highlight the vital role of manufacturers in driving innovation in design in the home.
W+W was one of nine bathroom products awarded the gold standard for innovation in this prestigious category, and was recognised for it’s forward thinking design which combines two key elements of the bathroom to create and all-in-one washbasin and WC designed to maximize space and conserve water. This ground breaking idea, incorporating Roca’s new ‘water-reuse’ technology, uses waste water from the basin to fill the WC cistern, thereby reducing water usage by up to 25% compared to a standard 6/3 litre dual-flush WC.
Roca was presented with this accolade at Lords cricket ground on the 6th October 2009.
