Rayburn Heatranger 600 series: bigger, better and even more energy efficient
Published:  06 November, 2009

Rayburn has launched a brand new series of oil-fired central heating range cookers, the Heatranger 600 series, with what is said to be the largest rectangular cast-iron hot plate on the market, two large ovens and a boiler which powers up to 20 radiators, as well as delivering copious amounts of domestic hot water.

Designed, engineered and made by AGA, at its world-renowned foundry in Coalbrookdale, the metre-wide Rayburn Heatranger 600 series is a perfect choice for any kitchen from a country cottage to a larger house. Its size belies its efficiency and it gives homeowners a range cooker which produces wonderful tasting food, control over their fuel bills and plenty of hot water.

The Heatranger 600 has two independent burners, one for heating and hot water, the other for cooking. There are three models in the range with boiler outputs from 16.6kW to 29.3kW. To encourage fuel efficiency and energy saving, the Heatranger 600 has an Eco mode for the boiler to ensure it runs at its optimum efficiency of over 85%.

The Heatranger 600 is also ideal for linking up with a wide range of renewable technologies which may include an AGA wood burning stove, solar thermal, and heat pumps. In the future, an engineer will be able to easily convert the burners to be used with bio-oil, currently being trialled across the UK.

Backed by the HHIC (Heating and Hot Water Industry Council) Benchmark scheme, the Rayburn Heatranger 600 Series has been manufactured with the installer and service engineer in mind.
