Michael Powell, Managing Director of Blum UK, won the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award at the tenth annual Designer Awards ceremony held at the famous Lord's Cricket Ground in London.
Presenting the award, publisher of The Designer magazine Kevin John cited Michael Powell's achievement in establishing Blum furniture fittings as the premier brand over the last 25 years in the UK, now used in kitchen and cabinet furniture at all levels including the UK's leading brands. He praised Mike Powell's highly successful and pioneering initiative of marketing the advantages and attributes of Blum's space saving solutions directly to end users even though the products are only sold to manufacturers.
Also present at the Awards were Armin Vonach, who was Michael Powell's direct contact and support at the parent headquarters in Austria over this period, Mark Richardson, Operations Director of Blum UK and David Sanders of Blum UK who will be responsible for marketing in the future.
