Lakes Bathrooms has launched a new minimalist series of sliding shower doors as part of their Italia Range from Provex. S-LITE is new to the frameless range and it was designed at the famous Talocci Design house in Rome.
The S-LITE stylish design is characterised by clean, clear lines of glass and can be configured in a range of ways for alcoves, recesses or corner situations. Complementing the minimalist look, the series includes shadow wall profiles and silicon free wall junctions.
An unusual element of the S-LITE's design is how the 8mm glass doors are mounted. They run on rollers fitted to the bottom of the door, making their operation safer, smoother and silent. The ball-bearing enabled wheels make allowance for variance in height to compensate for an uneven floor or base. For installers, the bottom running doors of the S-LITE series also make fitting more straightforward and stable. The doors also have width adjustment, afforded by the design of the wall profiles.
Retail pricing for the S-LITE range is from £900 to £1,400. Lakes Bathrooms say that this fits with their policy of high end quality at affordable pricing.
For the ultimate in luxury detailing, the S-LITE range can be fitted with optional crystal-set handles: ‘CHRYSTALLIZEDTM Swarovski Elements' is a three part range of chrome plated brass handles, inlaid with crystals in either a solitaire or studded setting. These light-catching handles retail at £118 + VAT.
