Stoves lower energy consumption with Genus
Published:  14 September, 2009

According to the Energy Saving Trust, domestic appliances account for 47% of domestic electricity consumption in the UK.

With soaring fuel prices and increasing environmental problems, it has never been more important for manufacturers to develop cost effective, energy efficient appliances that are sustainable for the environment.

In response to these issues, Stoves has developed a host of products that conserve energy during the cooking process, one of which is the Stoves Genus - a top of the range multi-function oven that cooks up to four times faster by using a combination of traditional heating methods plus its own unique patented technology. During testing, the energy consumption of an A rated built in electric oven versus Stoves Genus showed that when cooking a 1.3kg chicken Genus used 0.77kWh of energy compared to 1.52kWh of energy consumed by the A rated oven, which is almost half the energy used.
