Colour design with Khroma from Roca
Published:  08 June, 2009

Khroma sanitaryware and furniture embrace colour, texture and functionality, taking bathroom design to a brand new territory. Designed by Roca's in-house studio, Khroma combines vitreous china with innovative soft textured seat covers and back rests for the WC's as well as covers for the bidets in four distinctive hues. These include passion red, oxygen blue, street grey and silver grey. The colours were chosen by Vincent Grégoire from Nelly Rodi, a renowned trend agency which specialises in forecasting colour trends for the industries of design, fashion and beauty.

The overall design of Khroma is modern with an über-retro feel - reminiscent of the psychedelic sixties' era. Shallow basins with rounded corners come in wall-hung (600, 700 or 800mm) or countertop versions (400 or 750mm). To complement the sanitaryware, the coordinating furniture comprises a soft-close drawer unit on casters, and a wall-mounted base unit with built-in mirror and light (1000 or 1350mm), available for installation with wall-hung or countertop basins. The furniture pieces are available in two finishes - high gloss lacquered (with a choice of three colours, passion red, oxygen blue or ice white) and natural wood veneer (in a choice of oak or wenge wood).
