Launched in 2005, Smeg’s Linear Series has distinctive, geometric styling and high-tech looks that make it a natural partner for the contemporary kitchen. Originally consisting of ovens and stainless steel gas hobs that shared a common aesthetic, Smeg used the occasion of Eurocucina 2006 to add two extractor hoods that are every bit as much a style statement as the existing ovens and hobs.
The hoods are offered in two versions. The KTS75 is a sleek glass panel that slopes forwards from the wall and is designed for internal recycling. The KTS75C adds a stainless steel hood and is to be used in those kitchens where there is a desire for, or the possibility of, external re-cycling.
Both hoods look impressive and aesthetically compliment the other Linear Series appliances. Each is fitted with electronic controls and has a glass tilting panel that is raised to catch the steam and vapours when in use. Bright halogen lamps illuminate the cooking area whilst simultaneously lending the hob and hood and wider kitchen a sophisticated look.
