The future of bathroom design - it's in our hands
Comment by BEN GRAVE, Marketing Director, Impey

We are all aware that the current trading conditions look set to continue, at least for the foreseeable future. New building work has been hit particularly hard by the current economic climate. The housing market is slowing with people deciding to renovate and refurbish their current homes rather than move. However, manufacturers of bathrooms that focus on inclusive design are currently weathering the financial storm. The UK's rapidly ageing population means that the need for a bathroom which brings together the functionality of healthcare bathing aids and the visual appeal of a luxury wetroom environment in one outstanding package will only increase.

Despite the current slow down, Impey's sales continue to grow. Our Company has a strong ethos of producing high quality products that will improve the quality of life for someone once they are installed. The choice of inclusive fittings has improved vastly in recent years as manufacturers have observed the need for inclusively designed bathrooms. Consumers are looking for accessible solutions that enhance a bathroom's image rather than encroach on it. This includes level access from the installation of a wetroom, chrome grab rails and black seats. The Courtier range from Impey is a good example of how far accessible bathrooms have come. As a fitter it is important to be aware of the consumer's desire to have stylish additions for their bathroom that aid them in showering. Remember, no one wants their bathroom to look like a hospital.
