Recognised cooling specialist Lec, is officially the fastest growing refrigeration brand in the UK combined cooling and freezing sector.
Statistics from market research specialists GfK, show that Lec's share of the cooling market has grown by 34.2 per cent year on year in value.* The company is now the number one brand in the 50cm under counter category and has grown its share of the wider 50cm market by an impressive 27 per cent.*
The successful launch of products such as the T5038 combi and the TF5089 frost free combi, has allowed Lec to more than double its share of the 50cm combi market. The company also plans to enter the 50cm Top Mount market by launching new products over coming months.
Established in 1942 as the Longford Engineering Company, Lec went on to become a market leader and a household name. Acquired in 2005 by Glen Dimplex Home Appliances, the brand has worked hard to regain its market share through a combination of new product innovation and a back to basics approach.
