Over the past twenty years, the granite sinks developed and patented by Schock have achieved a highly acclaimed reputation as premium products. More than one million of these sinks are sold each year throughout the world. Around 80% of the material used in Schock sinks is quartz, the hardest constituent of granite. Thus, they are also well known as ‘granite sinks'.

Materials produced by Schock have been specifically developed to meet the requirements in modern kitchens and withstand everyday use without a trace. Schock sinks are extremely durable and easy to clean - red wine, coffee and heavy pans leave absolutely no marks.

The material Cristadur® was launched by Schock in 2005. This premium material is easy to clean, safe for use with food and finished with Schock Antibac. It has an extremely fine nanostructure for easy care and an unprecedented Nanoclean-Effect. An added benefit of Cristadur is its silky-smooth finish giving the material an exquisite sheen and a soft feel with maximum resistance to dirt and scratches.

Sinks used to prepare food or wash dishes and pans provide a breeding ground for bacteria. Schock Antibac is a hygiene protection system available exclusively with Schock sinks. The integrated protection mechanism uses natural silver ions to reduce bacterial growth by up to 95% and make working in the kitchen cleaner and safer. The premium Schock Cristadur material additionally offers the Nanoclean-Effect. An extremely fine nanostructure makes it virtually impossible for bacteria and dirt to stick to the material's surface.

LED spotlights have been integrated in selected Cristadur sink models and create fascinating lighting effects. So you can experience a totally new and ingenious light show in the kitchen. The enchanting interplay between light and water generates a wonderful atmosphere. Cristadur sinks develop a particularly exquisite brilliance when lit by LED Lighting. Sinks with metallic effect are turned into an optical highlight and it comes with a highly practical advantage: one has light right where one needs it. The clever lighting is operated by a remote controlled switch, additional wiring is not necessary. The switch can be placed anywhere within the kitchen.
