Customers and designers might agonize over the perfect look for a new kitchen, yet too little time is spent ensuring it works efficiently once the fitter has left. With this in mind, Hettich has launched Intelligent Kitchens to bring a new level of ergonomic planning to kitchen design.
Intelligent Kitchens is a multi-media tool which brings perfect organization and logical workflow to the kitchen. It draws on the full range of Hettich components, including lighting, which makes it a far more comprehensive internal design package than anything else on the market. The 3-D system is based on the five primary functions of a kitchen: food storage, food preparation, pots and pans storage, cleaning and cleaning products and storage of cutlery and crockery.
By focusing on ergonomic workflows, Intelligent Kitchens minimizes distances between related tasks. So food storage is integrated within easy reach of the food preparation area, for example, and the crockery cabinet is handy for the dishwasher.
"As a sales tool, Intelligent Kitchens represents a new level of design service for the customer" said Hettich UK managing director Tim Leedham. "Once they see how much better the result can be with some intelligent planning, customers feel they have received five-star service, rather than an off-the-shelf compromise."
With Intelligent Kitchens, the designer can take into account all the user's needs and priorities and create perfectly tailored internal cabinet organization.
