While changes to Part M of the building regulations are pushing up the number of bathrooms per property (a cloakroom is now a legal requirement on all new-build properties, thus increasing the bathroom tally for an average home to three - cloak, family bathroom and en-suite) the actual size of each room is being reduced to compensate. In fact, the average family bathroom is now a paltry 2m x 2m.
Following on from the success of its 200mm reduced depth furniture, Shades also introduced an innovative 500mm-wide vanity and 500mm-wide WC cabinet that will provide installers and designers with the freedom to fit a basin and toilet within a run of just one metre.
The 500mm-wide vanity and WC cabinet as well as co-ordinating mirrored cabinets are available in a choice of door styles to achieve a stylish fitted look. It is pictured here in the sophisticated latte finish, Farini on a warm oak cabinet.
