Tactile is in, so for an alternative to the polished smoothness of stainless steel take a look at the Microlinen texture from Carron Phoenix. Microlinen is available on a selected range of sinks including the brand new Isis 175 shown here.
Microlinen is a finely textured surface with a matt appearance that works well colour-wise with brushed stainless steel and appliances. The soft sheen of the metal has appealing low reflective qualities, while being soft to the touch. Compared to standard polished stainless steel it also requires less buffing to keep up smart appearances, a bonus for those not big on kitchen chores.
Microlinen texture is available on all four of the premium specification Isis sinks which are a recent addition to the Carron Phoenix portfolio. The Isis 175 model features a spacious one and three quarter bowl option with deeper than average 200mm bowls. All Isis sinks are reversible, with a range of useful accessories available including basket, strainer bowl and chopping board.
