Silestone Quartz surfacing by Consentino
Published:  17 March, 2009

Available in over 100 distinctive through-body colours and textures, with high scratch and stain resistance, Silestone is ideal for use in a wide variety of design applications, ranging from work surfaces to tiles, vanity units, bar/reception tops, splashbacks and wall cladding.

Composed of 93% natural quartz crystals and 7% pigments, resin, mirror and glass, Silestone is extremely hard wearing, only three other natural minerals; diamond, sapphire and topaz are harder than quartz with nearly four to five times the flexural strength of granite, making it significantly more resistant to the cracking and chipping that is found in natural stones.

Great for trend-setting consumers the Silestone ‘Life' range is available in six breathtaking colours, enabling consumers to personalise their kitchen in a distinctive, functional and hygienic style.

Inspired by Eastern influences, the Silestone ‘Zen' range is available in seven exciting and elegant solid colours. The thorough-body colours offer a shade and tone that is not found with natural stone.

Silestone by Cosentino is the first and only quartz surfacing material in the world, with patented Microban antibacterial protection incorporated throughout the structure of all Silestone Quartz products.
