Colour, decoration and luxurious comfort were key themes on the Kaldewei stand.  2009 sees black making a bold design statement as a new colour finish for the floor level Ladoplan shower tray and also as stunning freestanding panelling for the Ellipso Duo Oval bath.  

New decoration comes in the shape of soft flowing florals as an anti-slip design for Kaldewei floor level Superplan shower trays or the ultimate opulence of gold:  intricate patterns can be applied onto the enamelled surface of baths or shower trays to adorn the most lavish of bathrooms in genuine 24 carat gold. 

As always at ISH, Kaldewei took the opportunity to unveil some entirely new designs to add to their portfolio of over 280 models. When it comes to luxury and comfort, all eyes on the stand turned to two key launches:

Bassino

This new bath with its unusually generous form and size of 200cm x 100cm  enables the bather to float freely in the water to experience new levels of relaxation at home in their own private spa.  A comfortable cushion supports the bather's head and neck and keeps their face above the water in the 35.5cm centimetre deep bath. The bather can thus experience the unique feeling of weightlessness in pleasant calm and intimacy. 

Piatto

Piatto promises a unique shower performance where the human being is not only the focal point in their life, but also in their bathroom. The unique Piatto shower concept is characterised by a 150cm circular shower tray made from Kaldewei steel enamel 3.5mm whose total height of 6cm and ingenious rim design give it the appearance of floating above the bathroom floor.   Combined with a perfectly draped shower curtain in a choice of red, anthracite and chamois beige and freestanding shower system from German high-end producer Dornbracht, the result makes for a theatrical focal point in any bathroom.

Further launches demonstrated Kaldewei's technical ingenuity and consideration given to making life more enjoyable in the bathroom, including illuminated whirlpool jets and a relaxing lounger for bath tubs that acts as a lounger, storage space or a practical and comfortable seat.            

All Kaldewei baths and shower trays are guaranteed for 30 years. Optional easy-clean finish provides for quick and uncomplicated cleaning and anti-slip surface treatment is also optionally available.
