Enjoy a Haro Parquet bathroom
Published:  16 March, 2009

Fine woodfloors are the latest trend for more luxury and well-being in one's home and this natural material is increasingly popular as a floor covering for bathrooms. Contrary to the saying "water and wood don't mix," Germany's largest parquet manufacturer HARO has proved that it is certainly possible - introducing a new special flooring for barefoot areas. The parquet range offers five special wood species that brave the humid conditions. Merbau, jatoba, oak, smoked oak and African oak feature an enhanced moisture resistance due to their low shrinkage and swelling potential.

The new parquet floor can also be laid over underfloor heating and is oil-finished directly on site immediately after installation. This intense surface treatment protects the parquet floor against moisture penetration. The oil is absorbed into the wood pores without preventing the wood's ability to breathe.
