Purus, the leading Swedish manufacturer of drainage and plumbing products for wetrooms, has launched a new simple to install pre-formed base for wetroom showers called the MAXXUS.
The MAXXUS wetfloor former has been tested under static load at 1000mm centres and will comfortably support a sustained load of 470 kilos (75 stone) making it ideal for care homes and adaptations where a member of staff, wheelchair and resident can be on the shower floor at one time.
The MAXXUS Wetfloor Former has many benefits including a totally flat underside for easy installation and is designed to be used with the Purus Minimax, the world's shallowest (70mm plus 6mm fall) wetroom drain incorporating a NOOD no-odour trap without a water seal.
The Plastic circular grate is standard for a vinyl floor situation but can be upgraded to a circular stainless steel grate in a variety of designs or a square grate in a variety of designs can also be used with a tiled floor.
