Mira Showers recently added a brand new mixer shower to its range, aimed at the growing less able market. The new Mira Select Flex has been developed from Mira's existing Select mixer. The robust Select Flex valve is TMV3 approved and has been developed with input from key influencers, including Occupational Therapists and the Royal National Institute for the Blind (RNIB).
Safety and ease of use are key features combined with attractive, neutral contemporary styling to complement modern bathrooms. The aesthetics of the Select Flex offer ‘inclusive' design, rather than an ‘institutional' look. Incorporating Mira's proven thermostatic technology, the valve has a factory-set maximum temperature that can be adjusted on site if required. For added safety new Mira Cool Touch technology reduces the surface temperature of the metal hot water elbow to a safe level. Specially adapted and extended lever controls enable everyone to use the Select Flex with ease, while the ‘select and forget' temperature control can be left in the user's favourite position. To help those with impaired vision, large and easy to read temperature-indicator graphics have been designed and the use of brushed chrome where appropriate increases contrast, but reduces glare.
Complementing the Select Flex valve are new Mira Select Flex Fittings featuring a slide bar that is fitted close to the wall to reduce the risk of it being used as a grab rail, the Everclear handset and a generous 1m length of hose. A 2m hose and additional parking bracket are also available for wheelchair users.
