There is a difference between cheap and good value," says Ian Kershaw, MD of appliance specialists CDA, "Buying low cost appliances from a brand that only does low cost and has no real background of service and quality is a bad move for retailers - not just because problems are inevitably ahead if something goes wrong, but also because there's nowhere to go if the customer is willing to trade up."
"It is a bit like buying cars", he continues. "If you buy an entry point BMW you know that you are getting the same manufacturing quality and the same level of service that you would get if you were buying a top of the range model. The same synergy applies with appliances. The customer who buys a Level 1 CDA oven gets the same benefits as a customer who buys a Level 3 oven. It will not have as many features but the basic functions will be the same high quality and the appliance will be backed by the same high level of after care."
"Our pursuit of perfection means we never stand still. We constantly provide innovative products that exceed all expectations right across our range of 450 different appliances - from entry level right through to luxury. Our goal is to be the best. To offer the best products and the best service at the best possible price".
