The redesigned control panel on all three hobs has a new modern shape that will match the latest sleek, geometric kitchens. "One of CDA's usp's is to continuously develop and improve products," says Marketing Manager Sally Stothard. "Giving these entry level hobs a more up to date look is just part of our policy of making our products as good as they can be - at every price point."

All three hobs offer impressive features that will suit keen cooks. The HCG500 F versions (available in stainless steel, black and white) have a flame failure device, now a legal requirement in flats and other multi occupied buildings, the HCG520 comes with cast iron pan supports and for customers who don't have gas but find that a ceramic or induction hob is beyond their budget, the re-designed HCE550 solid plate four-zone is a good choice. It has a 2kW rapid zone for fast heating plus 1 and 1.5kW plates for standard cooking. There's a choice of six power levels for each zone. The redesigned hobs will be available at the end of January. CDA also offer an excellent value range of ceramic and induction hobs.

CDA's policy of offering impressive features right across its price range has made the entry-level SC210 four function electric oven a best seller. The single oven offers fan cooking and a grill and is available in stainless steel or white. Selling at around £275 retail, the oven is fitted with chromed rack sides with integrated anti tip shelves and a double glazed door that can be removed for cleaning - features more often seen on much more expensive appliances. Optional extras include a telescopic shelf kit, three-piece catalytic liners, a pizza stone and a CDA cleaning cloth. The oven is A rated, as are all CDA single ovens.
