Foster stainless steel worksurfaces, already a hit with top Italian and European kitchen manufacturers, are now available in the UK through Air Uno. Made in Italy, these high-quality stainless steel countertops can be bespoked to suit any kitchen design whether sexily curved as right, a simple linear run along the wall, an island, cleaning or cook zone. It can be fabricated as a plain worktop or integrated with other Foster products such as their strikingly contemporary sinks and hobs.
Not only is the shape and size customized, the edges can be fabricated in a variety of ways in depths from 12 to 200mm and can be rounded, sharp-edged or rimmed. Look closely at Foster worksurfaces and you'll see that they use a superior quality AISI 304 steel that's got an incredible depth of shine and a finish with extra-fine glazing obtained through a special polishing process that uses natural fibres. With over 40 years experience in steel crafting, Foster has found that this special satin finish is the most suitable for kitchen worksurfaces because, as well as not showing up scratches so easily, extra fine glazing makes cleaning and repair much easier.
But the high quality is most obvious on the elegant Quadra sinks. ‘If you compare a Foster's Bowl alongside any other stainless steel bowl, you'll soon see the difference,' says Geoffrey Baker, Chairman of Air Uno. ‘It's obvious in the folding and welding, but also in the quality finish. The bowls have crisp, sharp edges for that uber- contemporary look.'
