Challis Water Controls the Maidenhead based manufacture of water saving controls has announced the launch of their new anti bacterial, water saving shower head. The Challis Ag+ (periodic table symbol for silver, the active ingredient) is the first shower to be manufactured from anti bacterial plastic.
Designed to protect against a whole range of potentially deadly bacteria, including MRSA, E-Coil, Salmonella, Legionella and Pseudomonas the Challis Ag+ also incorporates the patented and well proven volumizer water saving inductor. The volumizer previously used in the successful Aquiv8 water saving shower head range can dramatically cut water usage without reducing the level of performance.
The launch of this innovative product comes at a time of sharp rises in water and energy utility costs along with increased media attention regarding bacterial outbreaks of MRSA and Legionella "The Challis Ag+ was originally developed for the health care market but we are now getting a huge amount of interest from the hotels, leisure centres, universities, builders & developers" said Chris Challis, Sales Director of Challis Water Controls.
