Roca, the leading global bathroom brand, presented the unique Waterdrop installation at this years 100% Design - a spectacular and engaging experience capturing the beauty of water, designed by Héctor Serrano Studio.
Through Waterdrop, Roca explored the precious element that is water without using a single drop, thereby representing the company's fundamental belief that innovation and sustainability can go hand in hand.
Using innovative and sophisticated technology, the central element to the installation was a representation of the beautiful experience of a drop falling onto water, creating an enigmatic movement and rippling effect. The exterior of the space was defined by a moving blue line which acted as an invitation and welcome as well as communicating the importance of this element.
The other element to the stand was very interactive, encouraging visitors to think about what water means to them through conversation and debate, or by leaving written comments which were attached to the walls of the stand.
Coinciding with the launch of this original concept, Roca also used the show to announce its 3rd International Design Competition - Jump the Gap. The competition offers up-and-coming young designers from around the world the opportunity to showcase their designs based on bathroom innovation and design.
