Adding an extra shower is pretty high on many customers' wish lists. What is not so easy is finding space to fit in that extra shower. One option that sounds radical; why not replace the bath altogether with a shower? As you can see from the diagram the space taken up by a bath can provide plenty of shower space. Alternatively replace a large bath with a smaller one or even a corner bath.
Trays that fit the space are of course essential. However don't be a square, trays that fit into corners are space saving and the Mira Flight range includes quadrant and pentangle shapes. Combining a quadrant with a curved shower door gives a handy and clean lined 900 X 900 shower space.
Now with the new Flight Low trays, which have only a 40mm profile, it is possible to give close to a wet room option for a really classy finish to the shower.
Built in showers save space within the shower. The Magna, which has only the digital control, handset and bar within the shower enclosure is also a great space saver.
The new Mira Mini range of mixer showers also help to create space. Although smaller than conventional mixers they still offer all the ease of use and precise thermostatic control customers expect from Mira. The single sequential control of Minilite and the dual control of Miniduo provide a conventional look and feel, while Minibelle and Miniluxe introduce a new vertical, contemporary format to shower controls.
Look at rooms other than bathrooms to fit a shower. With booster pumps, or an electric shower, fitting a shower in an attic room is perfectly feasible. In larger older houses building a false wall at the end of a bedroom can create an en-suite.
Electric showers are probably the most popular type for the second shower. Now with the latest electric models from Mira the customer has a much wider choice than the traditional white box. The Mira Galena and Azora for example, have stylish fascia finishes that can complement the most sophisticated bathroom décor. The Galena has a slate effect finish and the Azora a frosted glass cover.
Performance levels of electric showers means that they offer a real showering experience. The Mira Sport Max, at 10·8kW, delivers a water flow more than 40% higher than early electric types.
