Two Roman employees have raised £1000 for Prostate Cancer research by participating in this year's Great North Run.
Roman's Design Manager, Chris Ward, and their Tray Plant Manager Steven Pape, set themselves the challenge of completing the annual half marathon to raise funds for this excellent cause.
The lads trained hard 3 or 4 times a week over a 3 months period to get fit enough for the event.
The pair were sponsored by friends and family, along with receiving support from Roman, and managed to achieve their £1000 fundraising target.
Chris Ward commented: "We were extremely pleased that we managed to raise so much money for such a worthwhile cause. It is the first time Steven and I have participated in the Great North run and it was a fantastic experience. The crowd were excellent and really supported you through out the run - we both are certainly planning to do it again in the future."
