Roca Introduces New Water Efficient Products for 2008
Published:  10 October, 2008

Water conservation has always been regarded as an important issue at Roca. Supported by an extensive range of product research and development, Roca continues to offer a variety of bathroom products that are water efficient and energy saving. This year, Roca has added to its product portfolio with more "eco" solutions for the bathroom, offering both style and functionality with a conscience.

At Roca, all single lever basin mixers are fitted with a hi-tech "Eco-disk" cartridge. Not only does it reduce the level of water consumption by up to 50%, it also helps to save energy with its advanced temperature regulator. The latest water-efficient, single-lever mixer from Roca, is the ergonomic-inspired Singles-Pro (also available as an extended mixer). This new mixer has a water flow limit of 9 litres per minute - saving 25% more than other standard single lever taps. Besides the flow limit, Singles-Pro is equipped with an innovative progressive cartridge. This cartridge controls the water temperature, by always starting the flow with cold water. The temperature will only be increased by further turning the lever. As a result, the cartridge allows significant energy savings.

To encourage water saving, Roca has also launched a brand new collection of countertop basins. Each of the basins offers a reduction in water capacity of more than 35% on average, when compared to standard pedestal basins. For further water reduction, one of the new ranges, Urbi, can reduce water capacity by 52% on average. Comprising of eight different designs, the Urbi basins are created with shallow bowls, a new design concept from Roca. They give the illusion of large, indulgent basins, while encouraging the user to consume less water.

In addition to taps and basins, there is a growing demand for WC's with double flush cisterns. This is due to the government's increased regulations and the popularity of the push-button design. Roca's existing Double Flush system (D2D) has two installed push-buttons. Pushing one of the buttons will use 3 litres, whereas pushing both will use 6 litres. This simple yet innovative design helps to save an incredible 60% of water, reducing the total consumption per person per year to 4,320 litres on average. In line with the government's drives for water conservation, Roca continues to research and improve its water-efficient products, and now has a new range of dual flush WC's available, that will flush at an even further reduced rate of 4.6/2.9 litres.

In search of ideas and inspirations for your modern "eco-sanctuary", look no further than Roca.
