Contemporary cabinet doors launched this year by BLP
Published:  01 June, 2007

Contemporary cabinet doors was one of the themes that BLP UK Ltd, one of the leading cabinet doors manufacturers for the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom furniture market, demonstrated at ZOW in Germany earlier this year.

Several of these doors will be launched throughout the year and will include dramatic exotic woodgrain prints, bold solid colours and stunning high gloss woodgrain foils.

By using these foil prints and teaming them with a simple slab door and a well designed handle, BLP created cabinet doors that would give a vibrant, sleek and contemporary look to kitchen and bathroom furniture. The high gloss foil slab doors included, Talin Birch, Stylo Walnut, Zebrano, Gloss Plum and Black Brown Ferrara Oak.

The contemporary section also included door designs in exotic woodgrain prints such as Palisander and Dijon Walnut that have amazing realistic and natural woodgrain effects. Combined with bold spice colours such as Clove, Hot Pepper and Corn and earth accents such as Pistachio, Café Late and Canyon Red enhances the tones within the print and gives a contrasting and vivid look that designers are introducing more into bathroom and kitchen furniture.

The final door style in this theme was the Tobacco Walnut, a popular finish that gives a modern look to various doors styles from a Slab door to the Shaker door, both of which BLP exhibited at the show and which received a lot of interest due to its versatility.

BLP invested a great deal of time on the design and development of their cabinet doors to demonstrate that an instant modern and contemporary look can be achieved but one that also gives the feel of warmth, depth and character rather than a cold clinical feel that is often associated with these themes. Making these doors from BLP well suited for today’s contemporary and modern kitchen and bathroom furniture. BLP’s door designs that were exhibited at ZOW are now on show at the company’s Design Centre at Doncaster.
