IDS has introduced Tuscan solid surfaced worktops to its extensive portfolio of surface materials. Arctic Snow, African Dust, Graphite Sand and Ebony Sand make up a palette that reflects the most popular colours and designs.
The worktops are designed to offer greater affordability of solid surfacing without compromising on the aesthetic appeal of the product to the mid to upper end of the market. Available in ready-made worktop blanks of 3600 x 640 x 44mm with breakfast bars in 2100 x 900 x 44mm, with the benefits of easy handling, fabrication and installation to date only associated with laminate worktops. Splashbacks and upstands will also be available.
The product features a 6mm veneer of solid surfacing onto a moisture resistant core. Despite its thinner veneer, it delivers exactly the same performance characteristics of high resistance to scratches, water, temperature and impact. The non-porous surface is totally hygienic and easy to clean and is repairable in the event of stains or scratching. The worktops can also be cut and routered on site with drainer grooves and offer the flexibility for a variety of sink options.
