Measured move into eco bathrooms
Published:  08 September, 2008

The recently launched eco range of bathrooms from JJO is a manifestation of style design and craftsmanship. eco bathrooms is an exciting new venture down a completely new path for the long established kitchen & bedroom furniture manufacturer formerly known as J&J Ormerod, and one which will appeal to a  wide selection of the retail market sector.

Sales and Marketing Director Richard Proctor explains the reason behind eco bathrooms; "a bathroom division has been on my wish list for quite some time. JJO wanted to support its existing loyal dealer network, and in addition reach an entirely new customer base. It is an obvious progression and means that we can translate our considerable knowledge and craftsmanship into the bathroom area. This has been a very measured move and JJO is entirely committed to providing the very best product, offering design to complement eco kitchens and our established brand Colonial."

The name eco stems from the ethos and location of eco's headquarters and factories which are situated on the edge of the stunning Lancashire countryside and close to wind farms that contribute to the energy used. Whilst it can be difficult to be green, recycling awards and highly efficient power consumption management are fundamental to JJO's principles.

With 14 different designs in eight colourways, modular or fitted, the eco collection provides a versatile portfolio that fits neatly into the high end category; however the attractive price point does not reflect this. The super-slim 150mm units provide the perfect storage solution for smaller bathrooms and with the 48 other size variations ending at 700mm, eco is a versatile and stylish choice. Every conceivable feature can be found within the eco series, such as push click or soft-close doors, wall- hung with plinth option, laminates and affordable composite countertops. The eco range also features a collection of mirrors, including motion sensored light mirrors and mirrored doors with plinth lighting.

The sanitaryware has been exclusively designed for JJO and the brassware is from Abodes brand new bathroom brassware collection. The eco range offers the scope to have the same stylish and discreet storage that one would have in any other room and the carefully thought out range of cabinets allow for design where traditionally there has been none.
