Technology with style from Smeg
Published:  05 September, 2008

Italian appliance manufacturer Smeg has always been renowned for combining ‘technology with style' and the latest products launched by this iconic brand maintain the tradition.  A new range of freestanding cookers - the ‘Symphony' range - is positioned between the established ‘Concert' freestanding and ‘Opera' Range Cookers, offering high quality and performance, whilst the PVA750 hob builds on the success of the Linear Series build in cooking range.

Characterised by clean and contemporary design, the stainless steel SY4110 ‘Symphony' Cooker combines two energy efficiency ‘A' rated ovens with a six burner gas hob. In an innovative move, there's a separate 29 litres capacity grill compartment offering three grilling levels and closed door operation. A fourth door opens to reveal a practical warming zone.  Optional extras include a wok ring, Teppan-yaky grill plate and a stainless steel splashback and hood.  The SY4110 will retail for around £2000

The Smeg PVA750 hob combines the signature Linear Series control knobs (which illuminate when in use) with a ‘finger-friendly' graphite glass base and stainless steel frame.  This ultra low profile 72cm hob has five vertical flame burners and distinctive pan stands that are simple to remove for cleaning yet offer robust and safe pan support.
